
Dan DeWerff was named the new head boy's basketball coach at Frankfort Community High School by the District 168 Board of Education on June 21, 2010. Coach DeWerff led Pawnee High School to a 71-40 record over the past four seasons including two Class 1A Regional Titles.
DeWerff replaced Kevin Toney who resigned at the conclusion of the 2009-2010 season and compiled a 139-126 record in nine seasons. Coach Toney led the Redbirds to four straight Regional Championships from 2003 to 2007. |

Max Morris Gymnasium is the "Home of the Redbirds" and is considered one of the top high school venues in the state of Illinois with a seating capacity of more than 4,000. Max Morris Gym, often referred to as "The Supreme Court" has been the site of many historic battles in the fabled history of southern Illinois basketball and recently served as the host site for the 2010 IHSA Class 2A Boys Super-Sectional. |
