Welcome to my Homepage.

My name is Debbie Wells and I teach Family and Consumer Science classes.  I have been teaching for 36 years and I enjoy my job. I look forward to having each new student in my classroom.

An important goal for the state of Illinois is to prepare a world class work force.  Quality family and consumer science education programs are essential to achieving that goal.  Family and consumer science education prepares people for independence, assuming family roles, and employment today and in the future.  Research conducted nationally and in Illinois supports the need for management, decision making, nurturing, and other critical skills family and consumer science education can provide.  Our goal is to enhance and expand learner's related academic skills so they are equipped to cope with, live in, and contribute to a society undergoing constant change.
