The Frankfort CUSD #168 Board met on Monday night, where they discussed their current financial situation to erase a budget deficit that may be as high as $900,000, as they make personnel plans as legally required for the 2026-2027 school year. To prepare for the potential of personnel receiving reduction-in-force notices, the District must work through the provisions of its Collective Bargaining Agreements as there are certain bidding and bumping rights involved.
To begin that process, the Board must decide what positions will be combined, reduced, or eliminated so that employees can make their decisions on potential positions for next year.
Towards that end, the Board cut the following positions for next school year:
