The Board of Education of Frankfort CUSD #168, 900 N. Cherry St, West Frankfort, IL 62896, will receive sealed bids for Playground Improvements at Frankfort Intermediate School.
The bid opening will be on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the CUSD #168 Administrative Service Center located at 900 N. Cherry Street, West Frankfort, IL. At this time the bids will be publicly opened and read. A Performance Bond in the full amount of the contract will be required. The contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates and work under the auspices of the district’s Project Labor Agreement with the Egyptian Building and Construction Trades Council.
It is the policy of Frankfort CUSD #168 to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses in the awarding of contracts.
Prevailing Wage Law: The contract calls for the construction of a “public work” within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act of Illinois. The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the current prevailing rate of wages in the county where the work is performed. The Department publishes the wage rates on its website.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or to accept the Bid that in its opinion will serve its best interest. Any such decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner’s opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project.
The bidder shall have a written sexual harassment policy in place in full compliance with Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act.
