Here is the revised schedules for Freshman Football, Varsity Football, and Volleyball. Each schedule has had a change. Biggest change to Varsity Football is our Week 9 opponent (Sparta) does not have a Varsity Team this year.

After a good start to the school year today, be aware that it always takes a little longer to get buses loaded on the first day. Buses are leaving FIS/CJHS now at 1:26 p.m. on their way to FCHS. Students will be delivered home soon after. Have a good weekend.

West Frankfort School District is looking forward to welcoming our students tomorrow. (8/11) Friday is a half day. DES will dismiss at 12:40, FIS will dismiss at 12:45, CJHS will dismiss at 12:44, and FCHS will dismiss at 12:40.

***CLASS LIST UPDATE*** Please be patient with us as we are navigating a brand new student information system this year. DES class lists will be posted on the front door of Denning by 4:00 this afternoon (Wednesday, August 9). If your child is not listed, please call the office at 937-2464. Be aware that if you did not complete the registration process for your child, they will not appear on a list until their registration is complete. We can't wait to see you FRIDAY!

West Frankfort Schools Athletic Department would like to thank Sam C. Mitchell and Associates for hosting our Redbird Scramble this year. Thank you so much for doing that. We had one of the best years for the scramble in a long time. They were able to raise over $42,000 dollars this year. After paying the FCCC for hosting the scramble our Athletic Trust Fund ended up with over $35,000 dollars being added to it this year. Thank you so much! I also want to give a special thank you to Matt Caraway, Lance Brown, Brandon Zanotti, Aarika Twist, and Megan Hill for doing a lot of the leg work! We also want to think all the golfers that came out and played. It was a hot day and we still hope you enjoyed it. Looking forward to next years scramble!!

REGISTRATION REMINDER: Denning In-Person Registration will be held August 2- 3 from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00. ALL Kindergarten and NEW students MUST attend in-person registration to turn in required documentation to begin school. Please check our website for required documentation. (https://frankfortdes.wfschools.org/o/des/page/registration-information) If you did NOT recieve a link via email to register your child for the 2023-2024 school year, you will need to come to in-person registration. We may not have an email on file, your email has changed, or you may no longer have access to the email we have on record. The in-person registration process should take approximately 30 minutes.

We just did some mass edits to Teacherease. If you have not logged in yet you should have been sent another welcome email. We also have our online pay up and running. The Administrative Service Center (ASC) be closed on Friday, July 28, 2023, in order to have carpets cleaned. The ASC will re-open on Monday, July 31 at 8 a.m.

We have been told if you are trying to register from a mobile phone or iPad you have to use the TeacherEase app to do so. Sorry. Just found this out.

Students and Parents please be expecting an email from Teacherease today concerning online registration. The email may come from Common Goals. The email will have a link to Teacherease and directions for you to follow to register your students. The online pay function is not yet available. We are hoping it will be available this week. We will send out another notification when that is online. The 26th and 27th registration at the HS you will need to come to school in order to pay your fees, for parking, lockers, buses, and if you are a new student. The online registration process will have you fill out information so your time at the school will be shortened. This is the first time we are doing this. We are expecting there to be issues with this process. Each school will have packets available if there is an issue or if you choose to not registrar online. Denning, Central, and FIS registration will be August 2nd and 3rd. Parents of those students will be able to start the online registration process once they receive an email. If you do not receive an email then you will need to registrar at the school on that date. There will also be an all call after online enrollment starts. Please be patient with us during this process.

We have some Raffle Tickets left in the Unit office if someone is wanting to buy some. $20 a piece and great prizes. We will be drawing the winner at lunch time of the Redbird Scramble this Friday the 28th. Unit office is open from 8 to 2 through Thursday this week! Please Share!
