Statement Regarding Student Incident
Late this morning, school administration was informed of a questionable post made by a student on social media that indicated a potential threat to Central Junior High School. The absent student was quickly located at home by the West Frankfort Police Department's School Resource Officer while administrators investigated at the school. Students and staff were safe at all times due to the quick reaction to this post. Potential consequences through the school discipline policies and through the juvenile justice system are being pursued.
We remind everyone that if you see suspicious behavior or activity, please report it so that it can be investigated as we work each day to keep our schools safe. Thank you.

HS Volleyball Schedule Change - We have a varsity tourney in Massac Scheduled for September 16th. We have changed some dates to JV and Freshman only, to keep us under the IHSA limit for Varsity Games. The first change is tomorrows (9/6) game against Crab Orchard. The freshman game will start at 5 and the JV after that. There will not be a Varsity game. Please check the schedule that is posted for any other changes.
