On Veteran's Day November 11th the Military Museum is having a ceremony at 11am. The military museum is by the tracks in town. Please come out and support the museum along with the veterans that are caretakers of it as well.
We just want to take a moment to thank the West Frankfort High School administration and staff today. We had a situation at the HS today and it was handled safely and swiftly. We would also like to give a shoutout to the West Frankfort PD for their quick assistance. Thank you to all involved for continually doing all you do to keep our students safe.

Statement on Trespass Incident at Frankfort Community High School
Late this morning, a person known to school officials trespassed on the property of Frankfort Community High School. The Student Resource Officer and other members of the West Frankfort Police Department responded and the person was removed from the school. He is currently in the custody of the WFPD. Students and staff remain safe at this time and the school will continue regular operations through the rest of the day. The public is reminded that visitors must report to the front door of our schools and state their business before being considered for entry.

Here is another group that is greatly appreciated. Our district cooks! They have had a crazy beginning of this school year with Denning kitchen being shut down and having to prepare food at the other buildings and transport it to Denning. Hopefully Monday we will be back to some kind of normal! Thank you all for everything that you do!! You are greatly appreciated. Thank you as well Mr Buckingham!
Thank you to the West Frankfort Fire Department on training our wonderful paraprofessionals in first aide and CPR today. Also, once again thank you to our paraprofessionals. They are so important to the day to day operations of our district!!
Had a wonderful afternoon with these budding future educators at the Denning Fall Festival!! They did an amazing job helping the K-2 graders with activities!! Thank you to Ms. Holevoet and the teachers for allowing us to help!! :)
I want to make it public that our wrestlers have finally found a home. I want to thank the West Frankfort Aquatic Center on working with us and allowing us to use their facilities this wrestling year. Thank you so much!! I also want to thank Coach Arrington and all involved in this process for their patience and understanding during this process.
