We are monitoring the weather for tomorrow 9/27 nights football game. Which is senior night. A decision on the game tomorrow will be made by 1pm. If the game is not played tomorrow it will be played on Saturday 9/28. Time of the game, if it's moved will be determined tomorrow at 1 as well.

This is a message from Frankfort CUSD #168: A little after 8 am, West Frankfort Police were called to an apartment in the neighborhood around Denning Elementary School regarding a resident making threatening comments about having a weapon. At that point, the school was out on a soft lockdown status. The incident was resolved shortly before 8:30 and the school is going back to regular status. No students were in harms way during the incident and the school maintained their regulations programming. We take the safety of all of our students and staff as our highest priority and communicate out as soon as we can to preserve the safety of all. We will proceed with our regular day as we prepare for the weekend. We thank everyone for their concern when incidents like this happen in our community. The West Frankfort Police Department may have further information to release at a later time.
